Hello, I'm Cody Hagman,
freelance graphic designer and illustrator. I want to help bring your ideas to life!
I believe that a complex story can be told through simple and direct imagery. While not always an easy task, clear and efficient visual communication is an overarching goal in all of my work.
With a wide range of skills spanning the visual arts, I am flexible enough to quickly adapt to any design project. New platforms, software and techniques are challenges that I am well equipped to handle in a fast paced environment.
I have experience creating motion graphics in several different formats. From 3D flying logos, character animation, After Effects compositing and title sequences, to ineractive iPad apps, I am able to coordinate sound, visuals and text for an immersive user experience.
With training in fine arts, I have many abilities beyond the computer. Sketching, storyboarding, and rendering allow me to quickly flesh out complex visual ideas before getting bogged down with detail. Drawing and painting let me refine those ideas when time allows.
Articulate, with a broad vocabulary, excellent grasp of English grammar and attention to detail, I am naturally adept at copy editing. I am often able to tighten up a client’s rough copy and capably communicate difficult concepts through text.
